In June 1976, we founded our first business as a little printing shop at 11 Ashley Road on the 2nd Floor along the stairway in Tsimshatsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong, under the name Commercial Name Card & Chops Carving, later renamed to Commercial Printing & Chops Carving. At the time, tourists around the globe with special interest in chops arts came to us and requested to translate their names into Chinese characters for chops carving and this became our business tradition ever since.

In May 1982, we rented a space at the Jewellery Market in Regent Hotel, selling East Asian Arts at the side. The same year in August, we permanently leased the flat at R033, Regent Hotel Shopping Arcade on Salisbury Road, Tsimshatsui, Kownloon, Hong Kong, to found the Best Curios & Arts today. While most of our chops collections were of Shoushan stones, a Taiwanese customer, Mr. Choi, had given light to our business significantly as he advised us to look for precious stones such as field-yellow, cotton rose hibiscus, chicken-blood, etc., which has influenced us to collect the higher quality and rare stones arts from East Asia.

In 1984 we opened our second store - Stone House, at Hong Kong Hotel Shopping Arcade in Hong Kong Island, to house our partial collections of stone arts and also continued to provide commercial printing of business cards. Later in the same year, we opened our third store specializing in commercial printing under the same name as the store at 11 Ashley Road at the shopping arcade above the Admiralty Station in Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong.

Between 1988 to 1989, we closed the stores at Ashley Road, Hong Kong Hotel and Admiralty Station and restructured our business focusing solely in East Asian antiques collection such as snuff bottles, rare stones and chops at the shop in Regent Hotel.

In 1994, we immigrated to Canada but continued our business operation in Hong Kong. Around the same time, the change in ownership of Regent Hotel took place and New World Development Limited took over the property, our address were changed to Shop L083, New World Centre, 18-24 Salisbury Road, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong, until March 2010.

As the New World Centre is undergoing real estate redevelopment and is scheduled to demolish the shopping arcade after March 2010, Best Curios & Arts is moving to a new location. Our new address is Shop G35 Midland Plaza, 328 Queen's Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. We welcome you to visit our new showroom in the Spring 2010!
